How Monkey Snott Works
Overview
Monkey Snott is a high-performance hybrid lubricant engineered to outperform traditional oils and greases in the most demanding environments. It forms a bonded barrier on metal surfaces, fills microscopic pores, and delivers unmatched performance in extreme temperatures—all while resisting carbon buildup and corrosion.
The Science Behind the Snott
Molecular Bonding
Monkey Snott penetrates and bonds with metal at the microscopic level, filling surface imperfections to create a long-lasting lubricating layer. This reduces friction, wear, and component fatigue over time.
Temperature-Resilient Viscosity
Unlike conventional lubricants:
- It won’t freeze at –40°F
- It won’t evaporate or break down in 100+°F heat
- It maintains stable viscosity in all conditions
Whether you're in arctic cold or desert heat, Monkey Snott keeps your weapon running smooth.
Carbon Resistance
Monkey Snott’s formulation actively resists carbon fouling in key areas like:
- Bolt carrier groups
- Fire control assemblies
- Gas systems
This helps extend cleaning intervals and maintain reliable cycling during sustained use.
Real-World Testing
We don’t just claim it—we’ve lived it.
"One firearm treated with Monkey Snott ran flawlessly for over 10 years with no full cleaning. When disassembled, there was no rust and the internals were still in excellent condition."
Monkey Snott has been field-tested in:
- Sub-zero Alaskan winters (–40°F)
- Saltwater environments
- Rain-soaked hunts
- Blistering range days over 100°F
Application Process
Use a Q-tip for Precision
Apply a small amount to key moving parts—bolts, fire control group, rails, and gas interfaces. A thin coat is all that’s needed.
Optional: Bake It In
For enhanced bonding:
- Apply a light layer to clean, dry metal parts
- Bake at 200–225°F for 20–30 minutes (do not bake polymer parts)
- Let cool before reassembly
